Forestry Journal will accept advertising in a wide variety of formats. Quark Express, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, please enquire before sending documents and artwork in other formats.
Text files are best supplied in ASC11 (text only) format.
Illustrations are best supplied as photographic prints or slides, so that they may be scanned to the appropriate resolution by the company’s printers.
Digital images may be supplied on Zip 100 disks or on Macintosh readable CDs.
Digital images must be supplied at 300 dpi at target size. (or 72dtp in the case of for the website) Jpeg compression should not be used unless unavoidable and must be minimized to ensure colour is not lost. Low resolution images and images from digital cameras derived from non-professional sources, will probably be of a low quality, and so may prove unacceptable.
Text may be emailed to the magazine (not as an attachment).
Pictures should not be emailed without prior consultation.
Advertisements can also be made up in-house by FMJ, or may be supplied as bromides or as mono or four-colour film (150 screen, positive film, right reading, emulsion side down).
Completed artwork may also be sent via ISDN (01986 874752) direct to Micropress Printers.
