CARLISLE-BASED hydraulic hose, fittings and equipment supplier Apex Fluid Power was in attendance to demonstrate its product range including swaging machines.
The H64 range has been purpose-built for forestry machinery hose assemblies. Available in manual and pneumatic, the H64 has capacity for up to 1” 4-wire hose and 1 and a 1/4” 2-wire.
Owner Peter Brown said: “We enable you, the customer, to manufacture your own hose assemblies. There is no machinery here that can survive without hose and fittings. It’s the arteries, the veins of these machines.”
Peter went on to explain that the hoses on show are specified and used by the likes of Ponsse, John Deere and Komatsu.
He added that Forestry Expo was a “fantastic base” to meet and greet new and old customers: “We see people that we can’t get to see any other times. We’ve met people who’ve travelled from the Isle of Mull, from South Wales, from all over the place, all gathering here today on one site, all wanting to talk.”
