ATTRACTING interest in the covered marquee was the new digital displacement pump from Danfoss, which has come about after years of working in partnership with Artemis Intelligent Power.
Originally for use in wave and wind energy, it has been designed to take pumps into the digital age, providing controllable hydraulic power at a high level of efficiency.
The Edinburgh-based company currently has prototype pumps fitted on demonstration machines in the US and UK, including a JCB and CAT, but sees forestry as a key target market.
