JAS P Wilson will be showing off its Harvadig forestry-adapted excavators when it attends Forestry Expo Scotland 2019, it has been announced.
An ever-increasing arm of its forestry machinery business, Harvadig excavators are ideal for small-to-medium-sized woodland management work and contracting.
As the name alludes, these hybrids between forestry and plant are still capable of working in both sectors. In under five minutes, a forestry-spec Harvadig can have its timber harvesting head removed and swapped over for a standard digger bucket, tree shear, mulcher or timber grapple, making it the Swiss army knife of forest management.
Jas P Wilson has now created a systematic manufacturing process around its Harvadig production, with sister company European Forestry Machinery manufacturing the guarding in south-west Scotland.
The company is just one of many to have announced it will be exhibiting at Forestry Expo Scotland 2019. Among the latest names to join the growing list are Eagle Asset Finance and Steel Viper.
Established to promote and support the Scottish forestry industry, Forestry Expo Scotland 2019 takes place from 22–23 August at Little Clyde, Elvanfoot, Biggar, in South Lanarkshire, and will see 10,000 cubic metres harvested by the latest machines including Tigercat, John Deere, Komatsu and Ponsse.
