TIMBERWOLF is renowned for engineering excellence and its range of sub-750 kg woodchippers are a testament to its experience and knowledge of the demands of the arboriculture industry.

Designed to be tough, robust and powerful, yet light enough to tow without the need for an additional towing licence, the Timberwolf sub-750 kg range has become a firm favourite with tree workers across the UK and in Europe.

The Timberwolf TW 160PH is the perfect partner for those just starting out in the arboriculture industry or for landscapers who need a compact machine for tree and hedge work. Weighing just 608 kg, the TW 160PH can be easily manoeuvred by hand right up to the job site, saving time on dragging brash across domestic properties. The powerful Stage V-compliant Honda petrol engine, 6-inch capacity infeed and wide hopper mean this woodchipper punches well above its weight.

The Timberwolf TW 230HB Diesel leads the pack as the first UK-manufactured Stage V-compliant woodchipper to remain under 750 kg in weight. With a high-torque Kubota V1505 engine and superior performance, reliability, longevity and serviceability, the TW 230HB Diesel is in a class of its own.

The Timberwolf TW 230HB Petrol is powered by a Stage V-compliant Briggs & Stratton Vanguard V twin engine and features a redesigned vented hood and an improved exhaust design with a new patent-pending diffuser which reduces gas temperatures by up to 150 °C.

There is no compromise with the Timberwolf sub-750 kg range; they all feature quad force rollers with immense crushing power, robust infeed buttons on both sides of the hopper for ultimate control and time-saving servicing features such as centralised greasing points and the Wolf Port, which provides quick access to check and change the reversible, double-sided blades.

All Timberwolf woodchippers come with a three-year no-nonsense warranty as standard, which also covers the engine. Furthermore, Timberwolf offers the option to increase the warranty to an industry-leading five years for absolute peace of mind.

Every Timberwolf owner has access to over 250 trained technicians and a network of 34 dealer depots across the UK, ready to offer expert advice as well as spares and technical support.

Owners can also rest assured that, when the time comes, Timberwolf woodchippers maintain the highest residual market values.

Forestry Journal:

FÖRST said it wouldn’t build a sub-750 kg woodchipper unless it was so confident in its strength, performance and longevity it could place its three-year warranty stamp on it. It went ahead and did it with the ST6P – a genuine, hardy tool which builds on Först’s reputation for no-holds-barred performance and features with robust, tough construction. The ST6P hosts a 37 hp petrol engine, which is much lighter than the diesel unit, and yet it puts out more horsepower to offer a staggering performance and chipping speed for a sub-750 kg machine. It picks up quicker than a diesel when the no-stress cuts in, making it fast and, incredibly, as fuel-efficient as the diesel equivalent.

Featuring the Först open flywheel system, chip is thrown, not blown, right to the front of the wagon, making blockages on wet material no longer a problem. Auto intelligence control takes care of the electrics with a completely water- and vibration-proof system for outstanding reliability. The illuminated touchpad IP 69 rated feed controls remove any possibility of water and vibration issues related to electrics. They are located conveniently on either side of the hopper. The FörstGrip feed roller system features a twin hydraulic horizontal feed with exceptional grip on timber and the large top-feed lifts on an arc, making climbing butt ends exceptional. Twin heavy-duty springs and large bearings either side of the roller ensure strength and durability. The feed roller aperture is 6” x 8” (150 x 200 mm) and capacity is 30 litres. Machine width is 1,335 mm, length 3,350 mm and height with chute 2,280 mm.

Having done it once, Först has done it again by taking the ST6P attitude and producing the TT6 woodchipper, adding a whole new dimension with its 360-degree turntable making it far more versatile for street work and much safer to use. The punchy 37 hp petrol engine offers exceptional performance and amazing fuel economy while complying with Stage V emission regulations. The TT6 is extremely compact too, way shorter than the average 6” standard chipper at 2,250 mm when turned 90 degrees. In transport position, it is just 2,800 mm. For a sub-750 kg petrol woodchipper, it still has a chunky chassis and its steel fabrications are manufactured and finished to a high standard to guarantee a strong, robust product.

Sharing the same chipping chamber and features of the STP6, there is a wide hopper right down to the FörstGrip feed system. The machine has a low centre of gravity, making it a great tow. The TT6 is perfect for city contractors and arborists looking for outstanding performance, unrivalled manoeuvrability and convenience. Every new Först woodchipper comes with a guaranteed, no quibble three-year warranty. Först provides a service network of its own people and approved service partners across the UK, which means service support for a Först chipper is never far away.

DANISH designer and manufacturer Linddana has been developing, producing and selling TP woodchippers since 1980. The company supplies a strong selection of functional and reliable woodchippers for both landscaping and biomass production.

The TP range of mobile woodchippers are trailer-mounted with their own motor. All models are type-approved and come with both the inertia break and the TP Pilot speed monitor, which automatically starts and stops the feed rollers based on the disc’s rpm.

The powerful and compact TP 175 Mobile woodchipper is the ideal choice for businesses which require fast and efficient chipping, offering high capacity, easy maintenance and high-quality woodchip.

The Stage V-complaint diesel chipper features a height-adjustable TP Vario Spout, which enables the user to blow woodchip in any direction required, while the width and shape of the funnel provides good visibility and easy operation. The TP Opticut displaced blade system induces fewer  vibrations, resulting in lower fuel consumption.

Powered by a 25 hp 3-cylinder water-cooled Kubota engine, the TP 175 Mobile features the patented TP Started clutch system, which allows simple machine start-up by the turn of a key and the touch of a button. This consists of automatic coupling and uncoupling of the belt and control of the engine rpm, ensuring a prolonged engine lifetime.

With a total weight of 742 kg, the TP 175 Mobile can be transported by anyone with a standard driving licence. The product is covered by a three-year warranty.

Also available is the TP 175 Mobile Stage V petrol model, which is powered by a 2-cylinder air-cooled Vanguard EFI engine.

EVO 165P SUB-750

Forestry Journal:

‘WE listened, we worked and we made it awesome’ – that was the mantra of GreenMech when it launched its EVO series at the 2019 Arb Show. Now, it has made it lighter! Offering all of the proven performance in a sub-750 kg package, the EVO 165P SUB-750 is the latest exciting launch in the revolutionary woodchipper collection.

The brand-new EVO 165P SUB-750 retains many of the key features of the series including a wide infeed chute, twin horizontal rollers, all-steel bonnet and heavy-duty flywheel combined with the powerful, yet economic 37 hp Briggs & Stratton Vanguard petrol engine. To bring the machine into the sub-750kg bracket, the 165P SUB-750 features a redesigned chassis – rigorously tested to ensure durability – and alterations to its construction and specification, without detriment to its overall performance.

Also as standard on the 165P SUB-750 is GreenMech’s patented disc blade technology, providing up to 200 hours of chipping before re-sharpening is required, and a three-year parts and labour warranty.

Commenting on the newest addition, sales director Martin Lucas said: “From the off, the EVO collection was very much driven by what the market demands and this is again the case with the sub-750 kg EVO 165P SUB-750. The EVO has really established itself as providing more aggressive torque, bite and throughput than most other machines in its category and by incorporating this performance in a lighter weight package, we can meet the requirements of even more of today’s arborists.”

1300 RANGE

Forestry Journal:

The GTM 1300 range of compact and powerful woodchippers are designed to offer a portable option to chipping branches and crops – perfect for tree care, landscaping, forestry and garden maintenance. Efficient, effective, and safe to operate due to their chipping system and unique drum design – a rotor with 2 blades, one counter blade and ejection through a large discharge chute – the system pulls branches up to 12 cm thick into the machine, chips them and ejects clean-cut wood chips, time after time.

The new GTS1300C is a multi-functional chipper with two different outputs. The high output is suitable for shredding branches up to 10 cm. The low output is suitable for soft materials, such as grasses, hedge shavings or plant debris. The GTS1300C is equipped with a powerful Loncin G420F engine and high-alloy steel PRO blades that have two cutting edges, meaning they can be turned around for reuse. Thanks to the wide input (50 x 35 cm), it is rarely necessary to remove side branches beforehand, guaranteeing a continuous working speed.

The GTS1300PTO woodchipper is suitable for chipping fresh, green wood up to 12 cm and can be coupled to a tractor up to 45 hp with a 3-point attachment and power take-off. The GTS1300PTO is compact enough at 90 x 106 x 155 cm to be easily transported on a trailer.

The GTS1300RG woodchipper is equipped with the same unique drum system for chipping, plus the added benefit of caterpillar tracks, which allows it to operate on rough and hard-to-access terrain. The new construction can easily manage steep hills up to 20-degree incline. The chassis is specially lowered, making the input height only 10 cm higher than the GTS1300 Compo on wheels.
