FISA
THE Forest Industry Safety Accord made use of Forestry Expo Scotland 2019 to launch the FISA/TTF guidance on strapping of roundwood on timber trucks.
Referring to the Road Haulage of Round Timber Code of Practice, its new leaflets aim to ensure timber truck drivers are using straps in accordance with industry recommendations and legislation.
FISA also provided information and demos relating to a range of industry safety issues and ran a log-holding competition, sponsored by TH White.
