BROXBURN-based machinery dealer Field & Forest presented a fantastic range of products from brands like TerraTech, Bomford Turner, Indeco and more.

With woodfuel in such high demand at the moment, pride of place at the front of the stand was given to the new EHS firewood processor – a canny move to draw in the crowds.

Displayed opposite were various items from OMEF Forestry Equipment, including their latest grapple saw.

Eddie Cattanach told how the OMEF ‘GS’ Series - Model GS400 – was designed to meet a gap in the market for excavators between five and nine tonnes. Suitable for sawing, felling, pruning and handling, it will cut logs up to 400 mm.

The model on display attracted a lot of attention throughout the show, but was apparently sold to a customer on the first morning.

Those in the market for grapple saws could also be treated to live demonstrations of the GMTO35 with Total Tree Control, operated on a mighty Jekko Cranes crawler crane, courtesy of JT Cranes.
