In this series of articles, we will be sharing exclusive coverage from all aspects of APF 2022.

While it might not have been able to compete with the decibel levels of some of the big biomass chippers, Wood-Mizer UK certainly made plenty of racket, with a demonstration area that made the most of its location to show a remarkable number of its models working.

Mainly concentrating on its most recent wide options, the team showcased the LT15 Classic Wide, LX250, LT40 Wide, LT70 Wide and the MB300 slab flattener, with the LT20, EG300 and four-sided mould planer also on display.

Forestry Journal:

Wood-Mizer marketing manager Marcin Kozlowski said: “It’s been a very good show, and on our stand the dominating colour has been orange. 2022 has been the 40th anniversary of our legendary LT40 model so we are proud to still be showing and selling customers the best machine on the market.

"It was a machine that made a real breakthrough, the first mill on the market to enable people to do mobile sawmilling.

“It meant independence, freedom and the chance for people to set up their own businesses. It changed the industry.

Forestry Journal:

“The one we’ve been demonstrating today has already been sold to a very important customer from one of the royal estates, so we look forward to sharing more news about that.”
