Job Vacancy: Forestry Operative (Utilities)

Scottish Woodlands Utilities Division is looking to expand its current skilled labour force within Perth and the Scottish Borders into the North of Scotland, based out of our Muir of Ord Depot.
• Executing vegetation management contracts adjacent to powerlines and on the railway;
• Facilitating vegetation clearance on fencing contracts;
• A wide variety of minor civils work.
• Duties will include but are not limited to all forestry operations throughout the business sector.
Experience and Qualifications
To be successful for this role, you will have previous experience in a similar role, working as part of a team with knowledge and expertise of the Forestry industry and particularly the utility sector. You should also be familiar with the Highland Region as you will be responsible for forestry operations within this area.
As a large part of the role involves driving to remote locations, it is essential that you hold a Full Drivers licence. Forestry and Chainsaw Certification or other relevant qualifications are preferred but not essential as full training will be provided and you will be expected to attend practical and classroom-based courses as required for Utility / Rail work.
Due to the nature of this job you will be expected to attend regular medical examination including drug and alcohol screening.
