This post offers the right person an excellent opportunity to play a significant role at Inverness College UHI. You will be an integral member of the Forestry team at Inverness College UHI and will work with other partner colleges across the University of the Highlands and Islands to influence practices and procedures.
The successful candidate will have specialist knowledge and experience of forest management including health and safety; planning and site management; establishment; silviculture and harvesting operations; forest policy and regulations; tree health; community forestry and recreation.
The Scottish School of Forestry (SSF) is expanding its teaching programmes and research so any teaching at Masters Level and above or experience in PhD supervision is desirable but not essential. Similarly this is not a research post but there may be opportunities to develop research in line with SSF development plans.

As the UK’s leading tertiary education provider, we deliver both further education and higher education courses and that makes us different from traditional institutions.
Join Inverness College UHI and access a wide range of benefits that include both financial and health and wellbeing opportunities.
Inverness offers the ‘best of both’ – city living in the capital of the Highlands, on the doorstep of some of Scotland’s greatest outdoor spaces.
