FINNISH manufacturer AFM-Forest has launched a new harvesting head – the AFM 75.

The new 2,500 kg head is described by AFM-Forest as being tough-built, with high feeding power and excellent geometry for even the most demanding logging operations.

With a new HD frame and pins made from SSAB RUUKKI Scandinavian quality steel and nylon brushings, the AFM 75 can fit on different tracked base machines.

A wide tilt angle and the geometry of the front knifes is said to guaranty an efficient and ergonomic way to pick up logs in steep slopes. The new design of the AFM 75 also offers easy access for daily maintenance and hydraulic hose changes, AFM-Forest said.

Timo Savornin, sales area manager at AFM-Forest, commented: “With its modern geometry and optional top saw, Supercut saw system and 360-degree rotation, it can fell, feed, crosscut and measure with precision in road side processing or in stump-to stump operations with no compromises.”

Key features:
– Optimal tree diameter: 30-50 cm (12-18”)
– Felling diameter max: 860 mm (33,5”)
