FORESTRY machine manufacturer Logset has said it will establish a sales company called Logset Ab Sverige Filial in Southern Sweden in December.

The office is near Halmstad and will officially open 2 December. Logset has sold machines to Sweden through dealers ever since the company was founded in 1992. From now on, the sales company will handle the sales in Southern Sweden and Denmark. The company will also assist dealer Sigsjö Maskin Ab with sales in Northern Sweden.

The new opening is expected to increase the sales in Sweden and Denmark. Andreas From (pictured) has been appointed as sales manager. From’s father has been in the forest machine business and From himself has worked all his life with heavy machinery, mainly within the forestry sector. During the past four years From has worked with sales for a competing brand.

From said: "I’ve always been interested in machines. I became interested in the forest machine business because of my father. I want to give Logset the chance I believe the machines deserve in Sweden. The company seems fantastic and I want to increase the sales of Logset in Sweden and Denmark."

Sales director for Europe Mikko Laurila said the new investment in the neighbor market is a natural step.

"Sweden is a significant market area located close to us," he said.

"We already have some customers in Sweden and there is a demand for our machines. About half of the Logset personnel have Swedish as their first language which will be a great asset for the new sales company. To establish a new sales company is according to our strategy: being close to our customers and supporting our dealers."
