THIS April, Wood-Mizer will host its annual Spring Scottish Open House event over two days, with the support of Jas P Wilson and Multi-Log Systems. This event will showcase the latest in timber processing, firewood production and handling systems; it will be open to all, and will be free to attend.

Taking place on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 April, the event will be hosted at Tayside Forestry, one of the UK’s largest Christmas tree growers and a business which has been producing Christmas trees in the heart of the Angus countryside for nearly 60 years. It also operates a successful firewood business on site, with machinery which will be operating on site over the event.

This farm location will play host to three other forestry machinery suppliers.

Firstly, fronting this event will be Wood-Mizer, using this occasion to showcase their latest innovations and models at what will be their first UK open-house event of the year. Keith Threadgall of Wood-Mizer has stated that visitors will see live demonstrations covering a wide cross-section of their range, including small to large sawmills, planer/moulders and edging machines.

Secondly, Jas P Wilson Forest Machines will be on hand to showcase their Posch firewood processing machinery, and Botex forestry tractor-roof-mounted loaders and timber trailers. Other equipment, including their increasingly popular range of attachments including their JAK tree shears, Lasco cone splitters and FAE mulchers, will also be present.

The third supplier showcasing machinery is Multi-Log Systems, which produces the Eazi-Pak firewood log-bagging machine. Ideal for those looking to cut the handling requirements and effort out of net bagging, director John Wilson will be ensuring this revolutionary new machine is put through its paces with demonstrations throughout the two-day event.

Forestry Journal and essentialARB will also have a stand, so feel free to come and speak with the team and share your stories.

A full preview of this upcoming event will be featured in the April issue of Forestry Journal, which will be with subscribers several weeks before the event to allow readers to get a greater insight into the upcoming activities.
