GERMAN forestry show Forst Live is to be postponed due to concerns about the spread of the Coronavirus, COVID-19, it has been announced.
The show was due to take place from 3-5 April at the Exhibition Centre in Offenburg, Germany, with more than 32,000 trade visitors expected.
The Exhibition Centre has now announced that, due to the spread of the Coronavirus, it is following a recommendation from the local health authorities and taking a “drastic measure”, postponing a number of planned events, including Forst Live.
Exhibition Center Offenburg director Sandra Kircher said: "Our customers, partners and employees trust us. They can have that trust even in critical situations.”
Supervisory board chairman and Mayor Marco Steffens said: "This decision was very difficult for all those involved. But in view of the increasingly dynamic developments, this is unfortunately necessary and unavoidable.”
Organisers say the event will take place at an as yet undetermined date.
