MARLOW Ropes has unveiled the latest addition to its eco-conscious Blue Ocean range of cords – the Blue Ocean Boa.

The sustainable accessory cord maintains the same CE Certified attributes as the Blue Ocean Raptor and Blue Ocean Gecko, which were released earlier this year, and offers an anti-kink construction, said to make it ideal for use as a prussik and other friction hitches.

The new hardwearing 16-plait cover is now made from Blue Ocean yarn, manufactured from recycled plastic bottles.

Richard Edge, commercial director at Marlow Ropes, commented: "It is important for us to be committed to our sustainability and environmental mission to show our customers and end-users that we are committed to achieving goals that we have set.

"Since releasing the range earlier this year, we have received a lot of positive feedback around the new rope range and what we are doing to make the industry more sustainable. We are working on extending the range and adding new products."
