THE date for the next Elmia Wood has been set, with this year's show being hailed as a 'Swede success'. 

Organisers have confirmed the Jönköping woods will once again play host to thousands of guests and exhibitors in May/June 2025. 

With 2022's edition - the first in nearly half a decade - focussing on innovative and sustainable forestry methods for the future, nearly 26,000 visitors attend the forestry fair last week.

This included Forestry Journal, which will have full and extensive coverage across its channels in the coming weeks. 

An Elmia Wood statement read: "We’d like to say a big thank you from Elmia Wood to all the visitors and participants in this year’s forestry fair.

"We’ve shared a terrific time together with you and all the exhibitors. The preliminary attendance figure during the fair days landed at 25,885 people and despite the aftermath the pandemic, the response was incredible!" 

The fair brought together more than 270 exhibitors - from Husqvarna to Stihl - from 22 different countries.

It also saw Wood Let’s Talk being held for the first time, a round-table discussion between politicians and forestry figures. 

The statement continued: "You visitors brought along your smiles and expectations and created a great atmosphere.

"During the days of the fair the weather alternated between sun and cloud but fortunately the rain stayed away most of the time.

"Elmia Wood 2022 can be summed up as a superb meeting place for business deals, new knowledge and socialising."
