TILTROTATOR, tools and attachments supplier Rototilt is to open a central warehouse in Sweden.

The firm says the new base, just north of Stockholm, will "entail shorter lead times, increased flexibility and greater accessibility".

Due to open in Q4 of this year, the warehouse will see the Swedes centralise the management of spare parts from Vindeln, which is nearly 500 miles north. Customer deliveries for the entire range within Rototilt will also be made from the hub.

Jan Karlsson, aftermarket manager, said: “We are aware of the time pressure involved and the importance of keeping the machines rolling.

"Logistics is a key issue that we take extremely seriously, and in this way we are significantly strengthening our level of service."

Rototilt’s new central warehouse will be located in Rosersberg, a major transport hub north of the Swedish capital.

Jan added: “With our new central warehouse, we will be reducing our lead times for spare parts and accessories.

"This means that we will have access to better and more cost-effective transport solutions.

“This logistics centre is geographically perfect from every perspective. It is just a stone’s throw from Arlanda airport, and most of the logistics solutions available in the Nordic region start out from the northern part of Stockholm."
