WOOD processing equipment manufacturer Wood-Mizer is hosting a series of Scottish open days this month.

Agents David Biggs and Keith Threadgall will be on hand at Dundee’s Tayside Forestry to showcase the firm’s sawmilling and woodworking machinery, while giving guests the chance to ask any questions they may have.

As part of celebrations for the LT40 sawmill’s 40th birthday, the two-day event will demonstrate the capabilities of a number of machines, including the LT70 heavy-duty, the LT15 wide, and the EG300 board edger.

Forestry Journal:

A Wood-Mizer statement read: “The open days, organized by Wood-Mizer UK, are traditionally excellent occasions to find out what’s new in the wood-processing industry.

“Apart from the presentation of the machines, Wood-Mizer experts are ready to advise about any sawmilling and woodworking projects you might be working on.”

With the cooperation of owner Brian Hughes, the open days will take place at Tayside Forestry, Templeton Road, Strathmartine, Dundee DD3 0PP.

They are being held on June 24 and 25.

Of the LT70, the statement added: “This sawmill is a well-proven machine for high-capacity production, recognised for its speed and accuracy of cutting, while featuring a sturdy hydraulic bed and many automatic functions adding to the comfort of operation.

“The LT40 sawmill is coming to the show as well, and what’s more – it’s on a special anniversary promo offer. Get the benefits of owning the ‘legendary’ sawmill, like AH3 hydraulic package, SW10 Setworks, debarker, or angled bed rails.

“For those interested in an occasional or low-volume production, we’re recommending the LT20 or LT15 sawmills – these bestsellers are well-known for their mobility and functionality in many applications.”

Held in cooperation with Jas P Wilson, the days will also see demonstrations of K-650 and S-415 Vario firewood splitters, the Posch LogFix XL log-cleaning screen, EaziPak firewood bagging machine and more.
