In this series of articles, we will be sharing exclusive coverage from all aspects of APF 2022.

RIVALLING Jas P Wilson for the honour of having the biggest stand at the APF was Global Recycling. A dealer for brands including Bandit, Pronar, Sany, Backers, Norwood Sawmills, Frontier Sawmills, Jo Beau and more, the team were determined to ensure every piece of forestry equipment had a place in the sun.

Director Edward Baker said: “We had a lot of discussions about what to bring on the stand to fill it, but with lead times the way they are at the moment, you never quite know. But customers are able to spend a lot of time here, walking around, viewing the machines at their leisure.

“With the price of timber how it is, we’re really pushing the sawmills. The largest, which we’re launching today, is the HD38. There’s also a log moulder.

“A lot of people are looking for something new to do in their businesses. We added to the range around 18 months ago and been having a great time with it. The five-year warranty is hard to argue with. Bandit, of course, we’ve been working with nearly 30 years. They have some great products to help get people thinking about what else they can do.

Forestry Journal:

“Is it tree shears, with health and safety changing? Is it grabs? Milling timber to make fence posts? You can walk around and find inspiration for how to add to your business.”
