NEW life will be breathed into used Ponsse machinery after the manufacturer unveiled a refurbishment programme for one of its most popular harvesters.
In Ponsse Scorpion Second Life, more than 160 control points will be inspected by expert engineers, and replaced or repaired if necessary.
Available in Europe, machines updated under the scheme will come with a six-month or 1,000-hour warranty.

Clement Puybaret, used machinery sales manager, said: "We are thinking at how to give the longest service life as possible to our forest machines.
"We have always imagined some packages to update the machines to show they are running like the first day. In an economical way, it is much better. And it is environmentally friendly.
"That's how our business and our used machines are at Ponsse."
First introduced in 2013, the Scorpion harvester has become one of Ponsse’s flagship products, with over 1,200 made and now found in more than 25 countries.
Operators are urged to contact their local dealer for more information on Ponsse Scorpion Second Life.
