THREE new products have been added to Makita’s line-up of treecare tools.

Capable of carrying loads of up to 300 kg, the new DCU604 brushless LXT wheelbarrow with pipe frame carrier includes a range of features to move loads around the worksite with ease.

Designed to reduce the physical demands of work, the DCU604 benefits from a 36 V brushless motor powered by two 18 V LXT li-ion batteries in series.

This versatile device can carry loads of up to 300 kg and travel up to 7.2 km (when used with four BL1860B 6.0 Ah batteries).

To extend runtimes, the DCU604 holds four batteries – so once the first pair has discharged, simply flick the switch to change over to the second set.

Users can choose from three forward speeds of either 1.5 km/h for a gentle walking pace, 3.5 km/h or 5.0 km/h.

It also features reverse gear and is capable of climbing a 12° incline (with up to 180 kg of cargo).

Additionally, Makita has launched two new cordless pruning saws – the DUC101 and UC100D.

Forestry Journal:

Designed with a 100 mm bar and chain and equipped with a powerful brushless 320 W motor, the new DUC101 pruning saw offers chain speeds of up to 8 m/s to make garden and orchard pruning tasks a breeze.

With a lightweight and compact construction, users can easily manoeuvre the tool to make quick work of pruning tree branches and thick bushes.

The lightweight 12 V max UC100D CXT pruning saw has a 100 mm chainsaw
bar and chain, making it ideal for smaller cutting jobs. Like the DUC101, it features automatic chain lubrication and a chain oil view window, so users can ensure that the chain is always properly oiled for maximum performance.

The pruning saws are part of Makita’s wider spring collection of product launches which also includes the 350 mm 18 V LXT DUC357 brushless chainsaw, which joins the 300 mm DUC307 chainsaw launched earlier this year.
