THIS year’s Garnock Valley Carves event has been cancelled.

The North Ayrshire chainsaw carving event was due to take place in Beith on Saturday, 12 September, but organisers have announced that, in compliance with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidelines, it has now been cancelled.

A statement from the organisers read: “We apologise for the late announcement, but we have literally just received the confirmation of this news.

“On behalf of all the event organisers, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who tried so hard to make this year's event happen; the carvers, the stall holders, the display teams, and all the volunteers who were willing to give up their free time, and it is only right that we also thank the team from North Ayrshire Council for all their support.”

The event is now scheduled to take place on Saturday, 11 September 2021.
