THE second Garnock Valley Carves will take place on Saturday 7 September, following on from the premier Carve Carrbridge event the week before. Garnock Valley Carves will take place in Beith, North Ayrshire, and looks set to become a major attraction for the central belt.
Last year’s was a huge success, with a line-up of international chainsaw carvers producing beautiful works of art after only four hours’ carving. All of the large works were sold by auction on the day. Anyone wishing to bid for or purchase a carving should remember that the carvers are unable to accept card payments.
The event will take place in the Manse Field, Beith, with doors open and carving beginning at 10 a.m. and closing after the carvings are auctioned at 5 p.m. The carvers will be piped into the arena at 9.45 a.m.
