APPRENTICE ARBORIST


Grosvenor Rural Estates is responsible for the long-term stewardship of three rural estates in the United Kingdom.


Eaton Estate in Chester is recruiting an Apprentice Arborist to assist in their busy Forestry and Conservation team. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with a keen interest in tree work to join the Forestry team at the Estate.


Working to protect, enhance, and restore sensitive environmental habitats within these unique locations and improving local property and places, our aim is to be a leading example of sustainability within the rural economy - contributing to the economic, social, and environmental wellbeing of the communities we are part of.


Candidates must be able to demonstrate a keen interest in trees and woodland. They should be able to show that they have done background reading or work experience which has given them a basic understanding of trees. Candidates must be hardworking and be keen to learn.


You will be given first class training and support in arboriculture and be expected to assist the tree climbing team initially by undertaking ground-based work such as clearance and chipping of brash and equipment maintenance.


All safety clothing and equipment will be provided.


You will work 40 hours per week between 8.00am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.


You will be paid the appropriate minimum wage for your age category.
