POSITION: Forest Manager / ArcGIS Manager

RDS Forestry Ltd is a diverse company offering a tailored service to our many clients across Scotland. Our emphasis is on the management of traditional estates, timber harvesting & restocking supervision, forestry consultancy and new woodland creation projects. We are currently looking for individuals to join our team who have a passion for Forest Management with the experience and motivation to enhance and build on our reputation.

The ideal candidate will possess an ability to perform to a high standard and be able to demonstrate good communication skills to ensure high quality engagement with current and future clients as well as contractors and colleagues.

A sound knowledge of the Scottish Forestry Grant Scheme, forest plan design, management of new woodland operations will be advantageous. It is essential to be competent in ArcGIS as the role will require input to forest plans, woodland creations, property schedules and assisting with the management of our in-house resource. A full UK driving licence is essential.

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to develop their forestry career while talents will be recognised and rewarded. It is a fast-paced working environment where a positive and proactive approach will be required. You will be given a platform to not only review existing operations, but to propose improvements that will ultimately increase the success of the business. The successful candidate will be based in either our Stirling office or remotely within the Argyll area; please advise your preferred location in your application.
