We have two exciting opportunities for you to be a key member of our Southern England forestry Region in the role of Forest Manager in either Sussex and Kent, or Devon areas.

In this role you will be responsible for delivering a professional high-quality woodland management service to our existing clients together with other on-going forestry related opportunities, including woodland creation. The role includes building sound client relationships and managing contractors together with day-to-day duties such as the preparation of client estimates, production of reports, implementation of work programmes and grant applications.

About you
We’re looking for candidates who are highly motivated, driven, enthusiastic, reliable and adaptable. In addition to this, you’ll have:

• Relevant academic qualifications.
• Strong commercial acumen and at least 2 years’ operational experience.
• Experience of working within areas of sensitive habitat and European protected Species (EPS) is beneficial.
• Strong client relationship management and team working skills.
• Experience in managing contractors.
• Good knowledge of the UK Forestry Standard and UKWAS.
• Practical working knowledge of mixed lowland silviculture is essential.
• Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters or another relevant professional body is desirable.
• Full driving licence.
