FORESTRY SUPERVISOR


Location: North Wales & Marches area
Salary Range: £23,000 = £30,000 DOE

We have an exciting opportunity for you to be a key member of our North Wales & Marches Area forestry team in the role of Forest Supervisor, based at our office in Bala.


This is a key role responsible for delivering a high-quality woodland management service. Day to day, this will include sub-contractor supervision, site surveys, quality assessments, reporting to forest management team, general forest management visits and a wide range of other engaging tasks.


About you

We’re looking for candidates who are highly motivated, driven, enthusiastic, reliable and adaptable. In addition to this, you’ll have:

• Practical experience of planting and maintenance of woodland creation and restock sites, ground preparation and fencing. Current competence certificates, e.g PA1/PA6, ATV, Chainsaw certificates preferred but not essential. Experience of timber harvesting is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to interpret and follow instruction.
• Proven experience and ability to instruct and monitor operations (quality control and ensuring specifications met).
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems in practical environments.
• Be able to work independently and as part of team.
• Ability to manage/prioritise workload.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Good level of IT competence.
• Ability to apply high professional standards in a thriving, commercially driven business.
• Strong work ethic.
• Full Driving Licence.
