FORESTRY TECHNICIAN
35 Hours (1 FTE), permanent
Salary range £24,932 – £28,470 per annum

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated member of staff to work with us as a technician within the School of Construction and Forestry on a permanent basis. You will be based at Scottish School of Forestry, Balloch.
Job Purpose
We are seeking a suitably skilled person who enjoys maintaining, repairing equipment and supporting curriculum activities. Providing support to prepare materials for the Scottish School of Forestry. Provide support in maintain machines, equipment and estate at the Scottish School of Forestry.
You will be required to maintain Health and Safety equipment and processes, order materials, set up and take down workshops and materials labs, maintaining equipment including PPE and drive a van or minibus. Being an effective team member and able to deliver a high-quality customer service is a key focus of this role.

Essential Criteria:
• Have a forestry qualification at SCQF Level 7 or above.
• Have relevant industrial experience.
• Have current and relevant evidence of CPD.
You should also be flexible, reflective, innovative, creative, and personally committed to continuing vocational and professional development. You should possess effective interpersonal skills and have good IT skills in applications such as MS Office and other relevant subject related software packages.
