HARVESTING & MARKETING MANAGER

(South England and Midlands)

Powell Forestry Ltd is a long-standing Round Timber Harvesting and Marketing business working predominantly in the South of England. We are looking for a Harvesting and Marketing Manager to help develop our first class operational delivery. The business currently brings to market around 70,000 tonnes of roundwood per annum. There is an ambition to grow so the position gives the opportunity to be a senior member of a tight and professional team.

The role will include
• Pricing and tendering for Standing Timber and roadside parcels
• Marketing and logistics relating to felled timber
• Maintaining FSC, Bio security and Plant passports
• Working with FWM and our own harvesting teams to ensure best practice health and safety standards.
• Maintaining relationships with existing and developing new timber markets.
• Ensuring quality and specification of our products.
• Financial and stock Reporting

Thing we will be looking for in a candidate
• Motivates, hardworking and enthusiastic individual
• A good understanding of markets and commerciality
• Experience in buying and selling
• Full driving licence and someone who is comfortable with long journeys

Renumeration Package
Salary £38-45K subject experience
