HARVESTING MANAGER / HARVESTING CONTRACTS MANAGER

Location: West and North Scotland

Tilhill, the UK’s leading forestry management and timber harvesting company, has an exciting opportunity for you to be a key member of our Harvesting Team in the role of either Harvesting Manager or Harvesting Contracts Manager dependent on experience.

The Harvesting Contracts Manager role assists with the management of timber harvesting operations with specific responsibility for all aspects of site management, harvesting production and logistics. The successful candidate will be expected to take on the Forestry Work Manager role and report to the Area Harvesting Manager.

The Harvesting Manager role has the added responsibility for undertaking coup and stand valuations, securing new harvesting opportunities, stand breakout and P&L as well as growing their designated area.

Ideally, we are looking for the following skills and experience:
• Relevant supervisory experience.
• Safety, environmental and commercial awareness.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines.
• Ability to lead teams effectively.
• Ability to manage day to day relationships with contractors, hauliers, suppliers and customers.
• Ability to work in fast-paced changing commercial environment.
• Self-motivation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player qualities.
• Full Driving Licence.
