Grade & Salary: 4 - £27,003 rising to £30,688 over 3 years

Role Purpose

The post holder will work with the Regulatory Woodland Officer to undertake specific investigations and inspections for woodlands and trees across Mid-Wales. This includes initial ingestions into reports of unlicensed felling and supporting the Regulatory Woodland Officer to collect detailed data. The post will also carry out compliance checks against previously issued felling permissions as well as carrying out basic tree health surveys for Phytophthora ramorum and other pests and diseases.


Qualifications & Skills

1. Knowledge and experience of the forestry sector.
2. Understanding of commercial business processes and pressures.
3. Ability to communicate effectively with regulated business and the public, explaining issues and gaining support by influencing.
4. Knowledge and experience of regulatory and enforcement processes.
