Location: Flexible. Projects throughout South Wales on the Welsh Government Woodland Estate

Grade & Salary: £31,490-£34,902 (Grade 5)

Role Purpose
This is an exciting opportunity to join an NRW team passionate about responding to the climate and nature emergency whilst serving the communities of Wales.


During a year working within NRW’s Energy Delivery Team, you will join project teams responsible for managing the interface between the development/construction of high profile renewable energy (and other commercial) projects and NRW’s land stewardship responsibilities on the Welsh Government Woodland Estate (WGWE).


The role would suit someone with a technical land management or energy development background who is: excellent at managing complex relationships, confident deputising for the senior project representative, familiar with managing legal agreements and proficient in applying the processes and principles of project management.


The role involves desk and site based work on the WGWE in South Wales ensuring developers have considered the risks to people and environment and have planned the work, safety controls and working methods to ensure works are carried out in a safe, environmentally sustainable and legally compliant manner.


Qualifications and Skills
1. Ability to deliver products within strict project timelines. (Essential)
2. Experience of energy development and/or development in a forest environment. (Desirable)
3. Good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. (Essential)
4. Willingness to support projects in other parts of Wales as required. (Essential)
