TIMBER TRANSPORT PROJECT OFFICER

The Timber Transport Forum is a partnership organisation involving the forestry and timber industries and local authorities to develop sustainable solutions for transporting Britain’s growing timber harvest from forest to processor.

The Forum is looking for an officer to deliver our business plan and to provide support to the Regional Timber Transport Groups across Britain. The officer will also provide support to Scottish Forestry in delivering the Strategic Timber Transport Scheme in Scotland.

The officer will be employed on behalf of the Forum by The Confederation of Forest Industries (Confor).

You will be a strong, team player with the proven ability to think strategically. The post will be based in Edinburgh and involve travel throughout the UK. Flexibility in location may be considered.

Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters or another relevant professional body is desirable.
