Welbeck Estates is looking for a forester/arborist to join its team at the 6,000-hectare site. 

Job description 

An exciting opportunity has become available on the Welbeck Estates, one of the great traditional landed estates set mainly within Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire, an area of great natural beauty. The Estate extends to some 15,000 acres, straddling the borders of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

We are looking for a flexible, motivated and energetic individual to work within the forestry department, reporting to the Head of Grounds and Forestry.

This is a physically demanding role that requires a hardworking, committed and safety conscious individual.

Duties will include, but not be restricted to:
• Ground based chainsaw operations
• Felling and processing trees over 380mm
• Operation of forestry machinery including loading shovel, tractor and implements.
• Planting and plantation maintenance
• Accessing a tree using a rope and harness - aerial tree pruning (desirable not essential)
