STUMP grinder manufacturer FSI has announced the appointment of a new dealer.

The GGM Group will sell the firm's range of "high-quality" products in the north-west of England and Wales' north.

Already a merchant for TP's range of woodchippers and chainsaws from Echo and Husqvarna, the move is part of GGM's ambitions to become the "tree surgeons' dealer of choice in the North".

Phil Edmondson, who will oversee a newly established Ag and Arb Department at the dealer, said: "Both our Colne and Haydock workshops have highly-skilled in-house and mobile service technicians with vast experience in all kinds of grounds maintenance and agricultural machinery who along with our dedicated well stocked and knowledgeable parts team offers customers the high level of aftersales service you expect.

“Aftersales is key to continued customer relationships, GGM’s proven record within the grounds maintenance sector gives added confidence to the new ranges we will be offering within Ag and Arb, along with FSI excellent aftersales support with a real personal touch.”

To support the businesses continued development within arboriculture, the group has enlisted the expertise of Adi Taylor, who joins the service department team and is well known within the industry.

The dealer appointment comes shortly after FSI announced the establishment of FSI Stump Cutters UK Ltd – a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Danish company. This also saw the appointment of Lee Hatton as sales director.

FSI Stump Cutters managing director Kim Schmidt said at the time: “We are thrilled to deepen our roots in the UK with this new subsidiary and are delighted to welcome Lee on board to help us achieve that. Our commitment has always been to provide exceptional quality and service.

“By establishing a closer connection with local partners, we aim to elevate the level of support and expertise available to owners and operators throughout the UK and reinforce our position as a leader in the arboriculture industry.”
