A message from John McNee, Editor:

As the Coronavirus/Covid-19 pandemic continues to impact on people and businesses, I would like to offer a little reassurance to our readers, advertisers and contributors throughout the UK, Europe, and around the globe.

As an industry, forestry is uniquely well-suited to continue business as usual during a crisis like this (indeed, it’s vital that it does so – if only to maintain supplies of toilet paper). As the industry’s leading source for news, views and features, it is important that Forestry Journal and essentialARB do the same.

We are, of course, taking the situation very seriously and our team is now mostly working from home, but the necessary steps have been taken to ensure we can continue publishing as normal.

The deadline for the April editions of Foresty Journal and essentialARB is unchanged and they will be printed and mailed at the end of next week, with digital versions of both available to subscribe to.

To ensure readers can continue to enjoy Forestry Journal and essentialARB wherever they are and whatever their circumstances, we are offering an annual print subscription at a discounted rate of £69 plus free premium digital access to the website and access to the e-edition.

We are also offering print subscribers access to the premium digital subscription offering for three months.

We have robust plans in place for our upcoming May and June issues, with some very exciting content. Travel restrictions and show cancellations mean we will not be able to run some of the features we had planned, but the world of forestry never stops and neither do our contributors, who are actively continuing to find great stories from across the country and the industry, and will endeavour to continue site visits where deemed safe to do so.

We understand the cancellation of events has robbed many suppliers of the chance to meet with customers face-to-face, share news and promote the launch of new products and services. That’s why it’s more important than ever that we continue to offer an unrivalled showcase for the industry, across the full scope of our print and digital editions, social media channels and our unparalleled content-based website www.forestryjournal.co.uk (which is busier than ever).

If you have news to share or a story to tell, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Our genuine thanks to all of our readers, contributors, and advertisers for your continued loyalty and support throughout our 25 years to date. We will personally continue our own support to all in the industry over these coming months, and look forward to ensuring that we keep forestry and arb at the forefront of our efforts.
