FOREST MANAGER


FENWICK/DUMFRIES - SOUTH WEST SCOTLAND


We have an opportunity for Forest Managers to join our progressive team across South-West Scotland. We service this area from our offices in Dumfries and Fenwick. To be successful in this role you must be professional, self-motivated and be capable of working on your own and as part of a team. You should have proven operational experience in a similar role where you have been involved with woodland management. You should also be highly organised with excellent communication skills, be IT literate and have a sound knowledge of silviculture. Experience of working with contractors, project management and managing health & safety are all highly desirable.


Experience and certification at Forest Machinery Operation (FMO) level for Harvester or/and Forwarder would be desired for this role. To be successful in this role, you must be self-motivated, show initiative and be capable of working as part of our expanding professional team. You should also have knowledge of forestry sites throughout Scotland that provide site specific challenges in terms of ground conditions and challenging terrain.

Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters or another relevant professional body is desirable. Candidates must also have a current driving licence to perform the remit of the role.
