AN 'extraordinary celebration of nature, sustainability and family fun' will make its highly-anticipated return to the north of Scotland after a five-year absence.

The Logie Timber Festival will take place on September 7-8, 2024, at the picturesque Logie Estate, near Forres. The celebration of all things wood will build on the success of the inaugural event in 2019, which attracted over 5,000 attendees across the weekend.

Mark Councill, founder of Logie Timber, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be bringing the Logie Timber Festival back to the north of Scotland in 2024, celebrating our local environment and the part we all play in preserving it for generations to come.

“In 2024, we will be placing a special emphasis on local sustainability, and the importance of preserving our environment and its woodlands.

“The Logie Timber Festival offers a unique opportunity for all ages to learn, appreciate and contribute to a greener future.”

The Logie Timber Festival – organised by sawmill Logie Timber and the Logie Estate – guarantees a weekend filled with live entertainment, interactive activities, and engaging workshops suitable for all ages.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to engage with a diverse array of local businesses, exhibitors, sellers and craftspeople that are passionate about their work and their place in the natural environment.

With unique products, delicious local delicacies, and immersive hands-on demonstrations, the festival will be a showcase of the Highlands’ very best.

Mark continued: “This isn’t just an opportunity for visitors to engage with Logie Timber and to find out about what we do, but also to get to know local businesses, makers, artists and producers.

“We truly want this to be a celebration of all the incredible people that make our region so special.”

Logie Timber is keen to hear from local businesses, stallholders, activity providers and craftspeople who wish to be involved with the festival – as well as those who may wish to sponsor the event.

Exhibitors are encouraged to grasp the opportunity to engage with the local community. From behind-the-scenes glimpses to taste tests and hands-on experiences, businesses are encouraged to bring festival attendees into their world.

Both exhibiting and sponsorship will allow local businesses and suppliers access to an engaged audience keen to interact with businesses that share their values in sustainability, quality, community and family.

The Logie Timber Festival was founded in 2019 to celebrate the luscious woodlands of the surrounding area, and to allow visitors an insight into what makes the local environment so important. The festival provides fun activities for all the family – as well as showcasing local talent, offering unique gift buying opportunities, and promoting environmental awareness.

In the last three years, Logie Timber has invested around £1.5 million in a new saw line and mill, trebling its output and improving efficiency. Logie Timber’s mission of sustainability sees a focus on locally sourced wood, with a strong focus on a circular economy – ensuring every part of the timber is utilised, from timber to biomass fuel to agricultural products.
